Sigma Free Fire Lite is a free action game from Studio Arm Private Limited. This is a battle royale experience that pits you against 49 other players in combat to find who will be the last man standing. It features a colorful 3D visual that makes it similar to Fortnite, although the animation could use more work.
Like most modern entries in the genre, Sigma Free Fire Lite contains some of the standard features such as a shrinking Safe Zone, and looting boxes for weapons and items. It’s like Fire Squad Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, or Rules of Survival.
A casual shooter in development
As a battle royale game, Sigma Free Fire Lite can easily be brushed off as unoriginal. From the gameplay mechanics of parachuting to any of the marked locations, right down to the looting mechanics. The developers, however, had the foresight to switch up the controls a little bit. Aside from the intuitive touchscreen controls, there are a couple of additional buttons that make the game more interesting.
In terms of visuals, here is where the game shines. It has well-detailed graphics from the character designs, the weapon and outfit customization options, down to the map. Colorful and detailed, this is more than enough reason to check out this game. In terms of set design, however, it’s not as detailed as its contemporaries, coming across as plain polygonal objects with mostly solid colors and rudimentary shadow mechanics.
Lastly, the game still suffers from a couple of optimization issues. For starters, object collision could use more work. As you try to move the camera near other objects such as walls, the camera adapts poorly and lets you see beyond walls, which could upset the competitive gameplay. Also, the game has quite a limited player base. It doesn’t affect the queueing times but makes most opponents predictable.
Visually impressive but under optimized BR game
One thing that Sigma Free Fire Lite captures perfectly is the graphics. It is easy on the eyes and even enticing to fans who loved the visual appeal of Fortnite. For other battle royale gamers, the controls are easy to get into, plus a couple of new buttons for a change. Like some free-to-play games, however, it suffers from a couple of issues that deliberately affect the gameplay experience.
